What VIDAVA Does NOT Access

We do not collect, store, or have access to any sensitive financial data. At no point does VIDAVA receive, transmit, or retain card numbers, CVV/CVC security codes, expiration dates, billing addresses, or cardholder names as they appear on your card.

We do not establish connections to your bank accounts, financial institutions, or payment processors. No transaction data, account balances, or fund-transfer capabilities ever pass through our systems.

The only card-related information we store is what you voluntarily enter: the card's common name (e.g. "Chase Sapphire Preferred"), the issuing bank, and rewards details. This limited data is used solely to generate personalized recommendations — the actual payment at checkout is handled entirely by the merchant and your bank.

What We Collect

VIDAVA collects only the information needed to provide personalized card recommendations:

  • Your email address (for account authentication)
  • Credit card details you provide (card name, bank, rewards type, APR, payment due date, and credit limit)
  • Checkout page data (store name, purchase category, and order total) — analyzed locally in your browser to generate recommendations

How We Use Your Data

Your information is used for one purpose: to recommend the best card to use at checkout. Specifically:

  • Card details are stored securely in the cloud so they sync across your devices
  • Checkout page data is sent to our AI service to determine which of your cards earns the most rewards for that purchase
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering recommendations

We Do Not Sell Your Data

VIDAVA does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your card details and browsing activity are never monetized.

Data Storage and Security

Your account and card data are stored securely via Supabase, a cloud database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. AI recommendations are processed through Anthropic's Claude API — no personal data is stored by Anthropic or used for model training.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • You can view, edit, or delete any card from the extension at any time
  • You can delete your account entirely by contacting us at hello@vidava.app — we will remove all associated data from our systems
  • You can uninstall the extension at any time, which stops all data collection immediately

Cookies and Tracking

VIDAVA does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party tracking scripts. The extension only activates on checkout pages to provide card recommendations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of VIDAVA after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the VIDAVA browser extension, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use.

What VIDAVA Does

VIDAVA is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that uses AI to recommend which of your credit cards to use at checkout. It analyzes the store, purchase category, and order total against your card details to suggest the card that earns the most rewards or costs the least in interest.

Scope of Service — What VIDAVA Does NOT Do

The Service does not process, facilitate, or intermediate any financial transactions. VIDAVA has no capability to initiate charges, authorize payments, transfer funds, or access account balances on your behalf. All payment processing occurs exclusively between you, the merchant, and your financial institution.

User acknowledges and agrees that VIDAVA is solely a recommendation tool. The Service does not handle, store, or have access to sensitive card credentials such as card numbers, CVV/CVC security codes, expiration dates, billing addresses, or cardholder names. The only card information retained is what you voluntarily provide: the card's common name, the issuing bank, and rewards details — used exclusively to power personalized recommendations.

VIDAVA provides informational suggestions only. Recommendations are generated by AI and are not financial, legal, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions, including which card you use for any purchase. VIDAVA does not guarantee the accuracy of reward calculations, APR estimates, or any other financial information displayed.

Personal Use

VIDAVA is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the extension
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension
  • Use the extension to collect data for purposes other than your own card recommendations
  • Create automated systems that interact with the extension

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. VIDAVA is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised passwords. You agree to provide accurate card information — inaccurate data may lead to incorrect recommendations.

Limitation of Liability

VIDAVA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VIDAVA and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including but not limited to financial losses from card selection decisions.

Availability

We strive to keep VIDAVA available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The extension depends on third-party services (browser APIs, AI providers, cloud infrastructure) that may experience downtime.

Termination

You may stop using VIDAVA at any time by uninstalling the extension. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
